Description

J. Porter Henry gives an enslaved woman named Louisa (aged about 28, described as “of a dark copper color, of slim build”) to his mother Nancy Henry, via trust of John W. Henry for $1 paid by John W. Henry. The conditions were that Louisa was for the sole use of Nancy and upon her death, she would revert to Nancy’s heirs.
