About Community Presentations

Have the museum came to you. With a variety of presentation topics, Wornall/Majors House Museums can turn a luncheon, meeting, or retirement center activity into an adventure into the past.

Civil War Medicine
Missouri During the Civil War
Enslavement in Jackson County
Historic Crime in Brookside
Historic Crime in Old Westport
History of Whiskey
Honey and Alcohol

We request a $50 honorarium for presenters. Most choose to donate their honorarium to WMHM.

About Trivia for Hire

Want to host a Kansas City trivia event for your social club, bar, private event, or other group? We take the guess work out of planning by bringing our history trivia to you! Our multiple-choice trivia event is crowd-tested and well-loved. We bring the trivia questions, a PowerPoint presentation, answer sheets, and can even emcee!

Cost is 15% of your ticket sales or $75, whichever is greater.

What to Know Before You Book

The cost for trivia contests is 15% of your ticket sales or $75, whichever is greater. For expert community presentations the cost is $50. If cost is an issue, please reach out to us, and we will work with your budget.
If your meeting is online – we are happy to attend virtually.
We’re experts in various topics, such as the Civil War, enslavement in Kansas and Missouri, Westward expansion, and the families our museums are curated about. When planning your event, we offer an array of topics for you to choose from for your event.

Special requests may be accommodated. You can reach out to us if you are interested in a topic that is not listed to see if we can give a presentation on it.
