The tour begins and ends at the historic John Wornall House Museum.

You will leave with new expertise, unforgettable memories, and a fresh appreciation for Westport’s wickedly rich history.
Explore the history of the Brookside neighborhood while enjoying its beauty and walkability! This tour is a self-guided audio tour that can be utilized at any time. The tour is approximately 2 miles and should take an hour to complete at an average pace.
Tours are $15 and include a downloadable or stream-able audio guide, access to our dedicated Google map route and historic photos, and free admission to the historic John Wornall House Museum (an $8 value). The route begins and ends at the Wornall House.
Note that many of the historic places on this tour are private residences. Please be respectful and remain on the sidewalk and do not enter any residential property. Your respect ensures that we can continue to offer walking tours in the future!

Tours walk between one and two miles with frequent stops. When seating is available, guests are encouraged to sit down.
Our tours do not enter buildings, and are fully outdoor tours.
We try to start our walking tours at locations with restrooms. However, we cannot guarantee restroom access.
A light drizzle won’t stop us, but in the event of inclement weather, we’ll reschedule for a later date.
