Robert Young sells two enslaved women: Rose (described as an old woman of 55 or 60 years old) and Ann (described as 12 or 13 years old and of dark complexion) to Thomas Young out of love for his sister-in-law Sarah A. Young, Thomas’ wife. The enslaved women are to be held in trust “for the said sole and separate use” of Sarah and her children and the proceeds of any sale should go to her and her children.
