Description

The Bullards mortgaged personal and real estate property to J.W. Summers and others as collateral for a debt on February 25, 1860. This encludes three enslaved people: Ellen (35 years old), Henry (6), and Mary (4). The debt was unpaid as of September 18, 1860 and the mortgagees announce they will be auctioning off the property, including the enslaved people, at the Jackson County Courthouse on October 9, 1860.
