Loose Park Walking Tour

Uncover the hidden layers of one of Kansas City’s most beloved green spaces. Walk through the park’s surprising role in the Civil War as a battlefield during the 1864 Battle of Westport, when Union and Confederate forces clashed across what is now peaceful lawn. The tour will reveal how the land transformed from a private country club into a public park in memory of a biscuit magnate.
