Younger v. Harris
Jackson County MO
March 1, 1850
Description
Their heirs of the Robert Fristoe estate wish to sell the enslaved people of the Fristoe estate and have the money distributed to the heirs. The enslaved people listed in the original estate are: Martha and her child, Delia, Julia, Susan, Jacob, Peter, Priscilla and her child, Ellen and her child. Delia, Susan, and Julia are described as children. Julia is further described as having scrofula, a disfiguring type of tuberculosis. There is some dispute over which enslaved people are part of the estate. The court rules that Martha and her child and Ellen and her child do not belong to the Richard Fristoe estate.
