Susan Talbert claims that Oliver Caldwell illegally has possession of enslaved person Paulina, 28 years old. She is suing for possession of Paulina, plus $75 per year for her labor. She claims Paulina was taken from John G. Lockridge in St. Louis and then brought to Jackson County to be sold to Caldwell.
