Shadows of the Past: Night Tour of the John Wornall House Museum

October 17 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
$25

Cross the threshold of the historic John Wornall House Museum and discover the secrets that linger within its walls. Built in 1858 and standing as one of Kansas City’s last remaining antebellum homes, the Wornall House witnessed the turbulence of the Civil War, the challenges of frontier life, and the changing realities of the Victorian era.

During this special night tour, guests will experience a series of captivating vignettes of both historic information and dramatic reenactments. Explore rooms where stories of hardship, resilience, and transformation unfolded.

Distinctly spooky but never supernatural, Shadows of the Past shines a lantern on the unsettling truths and real experiences that shaped the Wornall family, their neighbors, and this historic home. Wander room to room as history comes alive in the very spaces where these stories happened.

Plus, after last year’s was a roaring hit last year, a portion of the Wornall House grounds will be turned in a Spookeasy. Attendees can optionally add entrance to the Spookeasy to their tour time and receive two drinks, and light snacks. Be warned – a password (and driver license) is needed to get in.

Join us for an unforgettable night at a house where the past lingers, steeped in mystery and meaning—no ghost stories required.

Tours depart every 15 minutes—secure your spot before the event sells out again!
