Drop In History: Civil War Day

Step into the boots of a Civil War soldier. Come to the John Wornall House Museum, which served as a battlefield hospital during the battle, and immerse yourself in the history of the largest Civil War battles fought west of the Mississippi.
This drop-in event invites you to interact with reenactors who will share about the everyday life of a soldier. Get a close-up look at period medical instruments, battle artifacts, and hear accounts from the Wornall family. Learn how wounded soldiers were treated in the very rooms where they were cared for—and feel the weight of history come alive.
