The Native Chef: An Indigenous Food History and Tasting Event

April 27 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On April 27, join us at the Alexander Majors House Museum for a unique culinary experience that blends history, culture, and food. Chef Jason Champagne, a proud member of the Red Lake Band of Chippewa, will guide you through an unforgettable tasting menu that explores the importance and current state of indigenous food in the United States. As the owner of Native Chef LLC, Chef Champagne is committed to teaching the power of food as medicine and the cultural significance behind indigenous ingredients.

The menu for the afternoon will feature Red Lake wild rice with butternut squash, topped with Anasazi beans, followed by a blend of ground buffalo and beef sirloin, all finished with a flavorful Hatch green chili sauce and garnished with fresh scallions. Each dish will be plated as a piece of Native American art.

Tickets are $20 per person. Reserve your spot at: https://www.simpletix.com/e/the-native-chef-an-ingenious-food-history-tickets-200531
