Guests are invited to explore the historic 1856 home of Alexander Majors — co-owner of the Pony Express and founder of the freighting company Russell, Majors & Waddell — through a unique combination of historical storytelling and live paranormal investigation.\nEach session begins with a short presentation covering the history of the house, the life and legacy of Alexander Majors, westward expansion, and the museum’s near-demolition before it became one of Kansas City’s treasured historic sites. Following the presentation, certified medium Peggy Ewing will lead guests through an interactive paranormal investigation inside the home, where stories of lingering spirits and unexplained activity have earned the Majors’ House national recognition as a haunted location.\nTwo investigation experiences are available:\n\nAll Ages Session (6:00 p.m.) – Designed to be educational rather than frightening, this family-friendly experience is recommended for ages 8 and up, though all ages are welcome with parental discretion. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are $20 per person.\nAdult-Only Session (7:30 p.m.) – A later evening investigation created specifically for adult guests seeking a more immersive paranormal experience. Tickets for the adult-only session are $50 per person.\n\nFrom tales of a restless blacksmith to the spirit of a longtime caretaker said to still remain in the home, the Alexander Majors House continues to captivate both history lovers and paranormal enthusiasts alike.\nAll proceeds support historic education programs, free public events, and no-cost field trips through the Wornall/Majors House Museums.\n\n
